4th of July

We started off the 4th of July pretty early this year. Jesse & his Dad were out working on the deck at 7 am. Jesse finished the deck last year but still needed to complete the corner steps. Here they are a few hours later with the finished product.

We had our family & some friends over through out the day but I didn't pull out the camera until almost dark. I caught Ellie doing what seemed to be some kind of yard watch. She kinda walked the yard checking out what everyone was doing. Here she is on a mission to get in the middle of the batmitten (sp?) game.

The sandbox, as usual, was a huge hit with all the kids.

This was Ellie's reaction when she saw the kids in her sandbox. I don't know about you but it looks to me like she might be a little upset about it :) She also was soaking wet from playing in the pool.

Since she was so wet & it was soooo HOT! Ellie ended the night in just her diaper.

Awesome finale!

Just like last year Ellie slept through the entire thing! Our neighborhood is really loud & it was so shocking that she never woke up. Then, just like last year, she woke up about 10 minutes after everyone left. This time the dang cat ran in her room meowing. Why she wakes up to the cat & not loud fireworks I'll never understand. Hopefully next year she will be able to stay up & watch!
